PAPER ON SKIN (TASMANIA)
September 21 - November 16, 2024

With her wearable Paper Art outfit "Florale", Fides Linien was awarded the endowed Tasmanian Hearing and Implant Centre, Dr. Kellie Walker's Encouragement Award for recognition of talent and to encourage pursuit of the artform.

First held in 2012, Paper on Skin is a biennial wearable art award. The award is open to international artists who embrace the challenge of designing a wearable garment made from at least 80% paper. Paper on Skin connects Tasmania’s papermaking heritage to a community of Paper Art lovers from throughout Australia. In an immersive theatrical experience, the works will be brought to life on the catwalk by local models and performers.
The exhibition will showcase the garments presented on the gala event held on Saturday 21 September 2024.
